British-Japanese breakout star Rina Sawayama hits the road in North America for her biggest US/Canada tour to date! Known as a "musical chameleon" for her wide ranging musical and vocal abilities, the singer, actor and model shot to prominence with her 2020 debut album Sawayama, with 2022's follow-up Hold The Girl further cementing her as a new musical icon, hitting the top-10 in the UK and Ireland and top-40 in Japan, Australia and the US indie charts.
Alongside her own slew of bangers, Rina achieved a silver-certified hit with Charlie XCX on their collaboration 'Beg For You' in 2022, whilst also recently introducing herself to the silver screen, appearing as Akira in John Wick: Chapter 4, as well as performing on the soundtrack. Safe Spaces for my Son and Me
My son and I moved from a small town where different was ridiculed, condemned. In order for my son to thrive and me to heal and grow, we NEEDED Rina Sawayama in our lives right when she came to us. We moved to Washington to flee persecution in our home state. When we got to be in the presence of Rina and her might, talent, poise, vocals and passion, my son and I melted. Many times I cried, out of being grateful, to share this fabulous performance with my child. Thanks to Rina who allows us to question, to be angry, to heal, and be queer all at once, and have that be enough. I've never been so honored to attend a concert.. ... Read more
